The InFusion Universal Dimming Module (UDM) provides load agnostic phase control as a component of Vantage’s centralized lighting control system. It can be mounted in a main or secondary power enclosure and supports control of up to 8 dimmable, forward and reverse phase type loads with up to four line feeds supporting up to 32 amps of total load per module. The module is designed to automatically detect load type, forward or reverse phase. In addition, with current sensing built in, the UDM supports enhanced conditional programming in Design Center for increased support of energy management scenarios.
Describe product's design and/or technical innovation - The InFusion Universal Dimming Module (UDM) is a component of Vantage Control’s lighting control system. It features a plug-and-play design that eliminates the need for field wiring to the UDM. The module locking mechanisms allows for easy in-field installation, service, and replacement. It can be mounted in a main or secondary power enclosure and supports control of up to 8 dimmable, forward and reverse phase type loads with up to four line feeds supporting up to 32 amps of total load per module.
The UDM automatically detects load type, forward or reverse phase, providing exceptional support of the widest range of lighting source types and allowing lighting professionals to seamlessly integrate lighting without compromising performance. With current sensing built in, the UDM supports enhanced conditional programming in Vantage’s Design Center for increased support of energy management scenarios.
Vantage InFusion systems are fully compliant with California 2013 Title 24 requirements for both residential and non-residential buildings. Additionally, the UDM is UL, CUL, and CE listed. In addition, it has built-in protection, including thermal, current, load type, and irregular load protection.
What sets your product apart from others? - Unique to the InFusion Universal Dimming Module (UDM) are the auto load-type detection and custom load linearization profiles that allow each dimming channel to match the dimming curve of the lighting load to provide smooth dimming and consistent lighting. Auto-load switching can be enabled per load through Vantage Control’s Design Center software. Enhanced conditional programming is available in Design Center for increased support of energy management scenarios.
The module supports the widest range of lighting source types and allows lighting professionals to seamlessly integrate lighting without compromising performance. Also, special to the UDM is the plug-and-play design that eliminates the need for field wiring to the module. It can be mounted in a main or secondary power enclosure and supports control of up to 8 dimmable, forward and reverse phase type loads with up to four line feeds supporting up to 32 amps of total load per module. The UDM module is compatible with new and old enclosures using new AC terminal boards.
Field Serviceability is enhanced with field service alerts sent via email to installers for their convenience.
What benefits does your product provide? - The InFusion Universal Dimming Module (UDM) simplifies the integration with different load types in lighting projects and enables the dimming of any forward or reverse phase LED lighting sources, which had previously been difficult to achieve.
In addition, the module is designed with improved module locking mechanisms for simple in-field installation and service, allowing modules to be quickly replaced without affecting load connections to the system. The UDM08-EM module ships in manual mode with load-by-load selectable phase control type (forward or reverse phase). Auto-load switching can be enabled per load through Vantage Control’s Design Center software. Field Serviceability is enhanced with field service alerts sent via email to installers for their convenience. Programming, installing, and replacement have been made easier with these added features.
Vantage’s InFusion systems are fully compliant with California 2013 Title 24 requirements for both residential and non-residential buildings. Additionally, the UDM is UL, CUL, and CE listed.
