Describe product's design and/or technical innovation - The MM700 is a major upgrade of the company's award-winning flagship product, the TM1A. The most significant enhancements include:
- A 35-degree swivel to both the left and right sides for viewing over a wider range. (A special attachment bracket also allows users to increase the swivel up to 60 degrees, either left or right.)
- A full 26 inches of vertical travel, two more than the flagship model
- Elimination of the 9-degree downward tilt in the UP position, so the product is more flush to the wall
- A built-in sound bar bracket above the patented heat-sensing handles
- Additional stability control that adjusts for minor differences in wear of pistons
- Modern TVs are getting thinner and more fragile. The handle on MantelMount directs all of the pulling forces directly to the mount instead of pulling on the frame of the TV itself.
The RB100 Recess Box, an optional add-on to the MM700, is another significant development. With the RB100, the flush appearance of the television is enhanced, as this recess box moves the product’s lifting mechanism 3.5" into the wall. This reduces the space behind the TV from 5" to only 1.5".
What sets your product apart from others? - There are a number of factors that separate the MM700 from its competition.
- MantelMount's patented construction, which combines high-quality automotive pistons with lightweight alloys and state-of-the-art counterbalance technology, allowing virtually anyone to easily pull a large flat screen TV down off the wall, suspend it at eye-level in front of the fireplace, and swivel it left or right.
- The patented Heat Sensing Handles, which turn red if the temperature above the fireplace exceeds a safe 110° F.
- The RB100 Recess Box, which enhances the flush appearance of the television. This recess box moves the product’s lifting mechanism 3.5" into the wall. This reduces the space behind the TV from 5" to only 1.5".
- The wide range of weights that the mount can support - the MM700 can support TV's weighing between 30 and 115 pounds.
- The wide range of TV sizes that the mount can support - The MM700 Pro Series Mount holds TV’s 45 to 90 inches (diagonal measure).
- We developed this product by putting a tremendous amount of thought, design, engineering, testing and care into delivering not just any TV mount, but the VERY BEST TV Mount. We took no shortcuts in producing a solid, well-engineered product.
- The enhancements in the MM700 are the result of feedback from customers, installers and dealers about our flagship model.
What benefits does your product provide? - People often place their flatscreen televisions above their fireplace, for various reasons. There’s usually a large space that will accommodate it. It’s a central viewing point of the room. It looks nice. But there’s a drawback: placing a TV above a fireplace moves the image well above eye level. And cranking your neck into an unnatural position for an extended period of time is going to cause neck pain. Worse, doing so day after day can have lasting effects such as chronic headaches, backaches, eye strain, and more. Plus, it’s simply not the ideal viewing angle and thus detracts from the TV-watching experience.
The MantelMount MM700 Pro Series Pull-Down TV Mount is a revolutionary television mount for use above fireplaces and other high wall locations that solves this familiar problem. With up-and-down, tilt-and-swivel adjustability, MantelMount provides viewers the preferred view of any large flat screen plasma, LED or LCD television. In short, it allows the viewer to enjoy home theater the way it’s meant to be experienced.
MantelMount is built on three main principals:
- Smooth, easy, consistent operation
- Safety of the TV and electronics
- Safety of the home and mounting environment
