Describe product's design and/or technical innovation - A unique, patented solution simplifies the connection of a cloud service (or central station) to a remote site. When customers request a VPN (commonly residential AV or commercial remote video), dealers could spend hours of their time working with customers' IT providers/IT departments to establish a connection through firewalls. The Network Navigator facilitates the management of secure VPN connections to 1,000 sites and eliminates challenges.
Once connected, the Network Navigator uses Network Address Translation (NAT) tables to assure unique addresses for every device, even when field installations may duplicate local addresses. This important feature makes sure you are addressing the right device, ensuring quality control. Support personnel can link with remote applications to run diagnostic tools as well as upgrade equipment.
Another important feature is equipment availability monitoring. Using SNMP (to eliminate client applications), the Network Navigator polls up to 128 local devices every 15 minutes, informing the user of the device status. Data is then retained for six months. Pertinent event notifications are sent to staff, technical departments, and/or central stations automation systems using SIA signal codes. Wholesale central stations running stages software are set up to receive and monitor these signals, whereas any central station can create the process to monitor the data.
A dealer may elect to monitor performance of specific devices with templates, eliminating decision making on variables or "best" parameters. Thus, disk, memory and CPU would be monitored for a server. Cameras can be monitored for video output. Data collection is in real-time, and performance data is graphed and retained for six months.
What sets your product apart from others? - Companies that install local equipment or services need to create a means to provide support. Typically, AV installations, video monitoring or access control are provided without security or connectivity considerations. The Network Navigator will improve security, deliver better quality and maximize up-time of local installations based on these unique features:
* Creates a UL approved secure VPN connection to satisfy corporate customers.
* Empowers dealers to access sites with a persistent connection that is fully supervised.
* Simplifies and improves quality of service by enabling remote service - no site visit needed for diagnosis or upgrades.
* Reduces truck rolls - eliminate up to 50% of site visits with better access and site performance monitoring.
* Delivers connectivity management across 1,000+ sites. Sort by equipment type to see performance data.
* Manages users for customer, dealer, and vendor access. Supports hundreds of users per site.
* Manages secure access for third-party vendors.
* Offers GSM access for either primary or backup communications (requires external modem/chip).
* Availability monitoring of up to 128 local devices on your network every 15 minutes.
* Performance monitoring without a client makes it easy to set-up.
* Monitors disk, memory, interfaces, video delivery among other key performance indicators.
* Creates notifications of "standard" performance violations to both customers and staff.
* Sends all notifications to any alarm automation system using SIA signal codes.
What benefits does your product provide? - The Network Navigator is easy to install and plugs in at a local site without IT support. When the blue light illuminates, a secure VPN to the cloud is complete. The technology has been vetted by UL and Fortune 500 companies to meet highly secure IT standards.
With a secure, persistent connection, you will be notified of both network performance and access problems. The world of networks and cloud connectivity is complex and getting worse. The connection will be there when you or your customer want access. Upgrades can be managed by professionals in your office or by your vendors. No need to send untrained technicians to do site diagnostics or upgrades.
Assessing equipment problems is critical to maintaining a healthy environment. Even more important, data can be sent to a central station for monitoring and analysis. stages central stations are set up to receive data outputs, and you can send SIA messages to any alarm automation software.
